My daily "beauty" regime as inspired by iaoiua . :)
Before I begin, I must say that I have oily skin, prone to break outs, at one point of time, i had skin that looked like this:


And this is with a ton of makeup on, so you don't wanna see what it looks like beneath the cake. I have tested and tried a lot of brands, whatever I use now, I have been using for the past 3 years at least because after wasting thousands of dollars on brands like SKII and La mer and what not, these are what I like and suit me. But I can tell you my experiences with the other products if you'd like to know.

Promisi a breve pubblicazione di qualcosa sui drama di stagione, parto da uno degli slot di punta di Fuji tv, che dopo un sacco di tempo mi sta offrendo finalmente un drama che non ho dovuto mollare schifata/annoiata/delusa...

Ci sono spoilers sugli episodi analizzati, as usual ^^



Son partita, come pregiudizi annunciavano, con le mani avanti riguardo Tokyo DOGS... impressioni contrastanti da quel che se ne sapeva dalle press releases erano miste alla somma paura per la presenza del Mizushima nel cast e a una non particolare predilizione per il genere... e a fine episodio d'esordio non ero ancora sicurissima di volerlo vedere tutto, ma lo trovavo carino, decisamente non il miglior drama della stagione come ho letto altrove, soprattutto per via di alcuni difetti di sceneggiatura che rivelano la mano non proprio espertissima di chi se ne occupa... ( Episodio 1 ) pertanto il modo in cui e' stato giocato mi ha dato decisamente lo spunto per voler vedere il secondo episodio...

E tutta la gestione della faccenda mi ha fatto attendere con interesse il seguito, cosi' che appena sono usciti i sub della 3 con le compari di visione non ci si e' chieste per niente se fosse o no il caso di darsi subito al mettersi in pari XDDD

Episodio 4: Tabi no Aida (Sulla strada)

Trama
L'attrice Ueno Juri decide all'improvviso di prendersi una pausa, costringendo cosi' il proprio manager a seguirla in giro per il Giappone...


Mi trovo in difficolta' a scrivere di questo quarto episodio, perche' l'idea di base era buona, e ricalca anche l'intro in francese che precede ogni puntata del drama, in cui ci si chiede ( Les gents sont commes les sacs... )
... non il tipo di sperimentalismo che apprezzo, temo. ._.

Last weekend when episode 3 was out, rimizu went back to her hometown and she has just finished translating.
Besides, we were waiting for HQ file to avoid doing re-timing like episode 2 ^^
And I apologize that I won't be able to check and time the translation because tomorrow I'll have Noryoku Shiken and on Monday I'll have a presentation. We expect to release it on Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon.

Back to fulfill yet another request I've had sitting around all neglected for ages - and I know at least one person on my list who should be very happy to see me finally posting a Glay translation :3 The song is Coyote, Colored Darkness, and it was one of the most challenging translations I've tried in a while. x.x I think that's why I put off finishing it for so long... there's some pretty ambiguous structures and unusual vocabulary scattered around. Awesome vivid descriptions, though.

Oh, one thing to point out... there isn't a single use of personal pronouns in the song (well, except that one Engrish line, but who knows what they were going for with that *cough*), so it's unclear whether the point of view is coming from "I/me," "you," or someone else. The only thing it ever specifically refers to as actually doing/being anything is the coyote, so since it's also in the title, I dubbed it the "main character." I hope that makes sense...

Episodio 3: Tonari no Tonari no Akira (Akira, la vicina del mio vicino)

Trama:
Akiyama Misuzu, che si e' trasferita dalla prefettura di Hyogo a Tokyo, riceve l'inattesa visita della sua giovane amica ed ex vicina di casa Akira, venuta a riscuotere una borsa che le era stata promessa in dono tempo prima...


Per il terzo episodio WOWOW ha ingaggiato un'altra coppia di star ad orchestrarlo: alla regia Yamashita Nobuhiro, alla sceneggiatura Mukai Kosuke!
A molti i due nomi non diranno niente, ma a chi segue il cinema giapponese facilmente il titolo "Linda Linda Linda" sara' familiare, perche' e' il loro lavoro piu' famoso in campo internazionale e fu un grosso successo di critica e pubblico pochissimi anni fa (qui in Italia lo vedemmo al Far East Film Festival <3); in piu' Mukai e' un fedelissimo dei lavori sperimentali... *__*

Trama:
Miyuki e' una giovane animatrice che passa le sue giornate a fare gavetta in uno studio di animazione dove non e' particolarmente ben considerata, e forse attende solo di rendersi conto di qualcosa...

...This song was a piece of cake to understand and translate, but putting it into English is another story. :\ Sometimes I wish Japanese was the universal language so everybody could understand the subtleties and nuances of J-pop and J-rock. But then I'd be out of a job, so oh well. :D;;

Ultimamente mi sono data all'esame della (troppa) roba accumulata sul picciotto (l'hd esterno XD), prima che il materiale sommerga me XD
E cosi' tra le prime visioni c'e' stato questo drama sperimentale trasmesso dal canale satellitare WOWOW tra il settembre e l'inizio dell'ottobre 2009, che con le sue 5 puntate della durata di neanche mezz'ora l'una si presta molto bene ad una visione veloce XD

Sulla scia del precedente Camouflage dello scorso anno (con Aoi Yu <3 e rimasto purtroppo senza sub per la morte del gruppo che se ne occupava ;_; ), la rete satellitare ha riproposto la formula del renzoku in cui vi e' un tema comune, in questo caso quello della borsa posseduta dalla protagonista, ma gestito in 5 modi diversi da 5 sceneggiatori e registi diversi, che hanno avuto carta praticamente bianca nell'inventarsi una storia che coinvolgesse in qualche modo la Ueno e una borsa.

Visto che neanche la wiki (per l'utilita' che ha U_U) e' granche' aggiornata, eccezionalmente sotto il cut seguira' anche una minischeda di ogni episodio ^^
Ovviamente, c'e' qualche spoilerino XD


Episodio 1: Guitar Case Onna (La donna con la custodia per chitarra)

Trama:
Ueno e' una ragazza che usa andare in giro con la sua chitarra e di tanto in tanto si ferma anche a cantare... e sembra somigliare non poco alla tipa nell'identikit della polizia di zona che sta ripulendo diversi appartamenti...

Insomma, strano e intrigante al punto giusto, anche se francamente io la Ueno non la farei cantare perche' non e' un bel sentire a mio avviso... infatti non mi piace neanche la sigla, che comunque e' il pezzo "meno peggio" che s'e' sentito in mezz'oretta, perche' sembra una canzone assurda di quelle che scriverebbe Nodame ^^;

My next request is, I believe, the last single released by the defunct-but-legendary Kisaki Project - Byousha Kaze. Actually, the last kanji in the title can be read as either "kaze" or "fuu" (both meaning wind), and Google searches turned up a pretty fair number of results for each, so I'm not exactly sure which one is right. Kisaki fans, please correct me if I'm wrong!

Oh, also, "byousha" means depiction or portrayal. Depiction of wind? Wind of depiction? Wind that depicts? Take whatever translation you prefer, guys, 'cause I'm copping out on this one. :D;;

I had a couple of requests for lyrics from visual kei bands in my inbox when I came home from Nekocon last month, and since working with my bands always puts me in a J-rock/V-kei mood all over again, I went ahead with them. There's another one I've had sitting around MUCH longer that I want to get done as soon as possible too, for reasons I'll expound upon when I reach that point, but for now I'll start with those two.

First is Baptism by Juliadoll, an indies band that broke up last year. This one was a challenge because I (and the requester) couldn't find ANY official version of the kanji lyrics on the web, and we had to work with a fan's transcription and my own two ears. I'm pretty satisfied with the end result, but there were a couple parts where it really would've been nice to have official kanji. :\ Oh well... it's a very nice song, anyhow ♥ Enjoy!

[1] This was one of those lines where I reeeeeeally wished there was official kanji of these lyrics on the web somewhere... In "chi no koe," that little word "chi," depending on how it's written, can mean either blood or earth/land. I think either one would've fit in the context of this song, but the "blood" kanji is what was written in the version I was working with, so that's what I used...
